Conception/Prenatal
During this period of babies first one thousand days it is important to consume nutrient dense foods. You may ask what is a “nutrient dense” food. Other questions you might be asking are:
- Is it safe to eat seafood?
- What is a good prenatal vitamin?
- I’m a vegetarian, is that a problem?
If you have more questions than answers, I am here to help. Together we will look at evidenced-based prenatal nutrition and come up with a plan to support you and your baby.
Breastfeeding
As a Certified Lactation Counselor and more importantly a mom that breastfed all her children, I am here to support you! I too had questions like:
- How can I tell if I am producing enough?
- Is my milk enough or should I supplement?
- How much should my baby be eating and how often?
If you are feeling overwhelmed lets talk about it and come up with real solutions to the feelings you are feeling. They are 100% legitimate. We can work through the worry and the joy as you go through your breastfeeding journey.
First Foods and Beyond
Around 6 months is the recommended age to start first foods. Introducing first foods should be fun! Here are some questions we can work through together.
- What food do I start with?
- How much food should I give?
- What if my baby has a reaction?
Introducing first foods can be a bit intimidating at first, but we will sift through all the misinformation and the evidenced-based recommendations and find out what works for you and your baby, so you can feel confident when feeding your baby.

Ginny Spain Thomas RDN LD CLC
Hi!
My name is Ginny. I am a mom (first and foremost) a daughter, wife, sister and most recently a “Gigi”
But back in 2013 I was a “student” going back to school to become a Registered Dietitian. In 2018 I achieved my goal and became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and in 2020 became a Certified Lactation Counselor.
I love what I do, I am passionate about empowering women to feel confident in their food choices throughout their lives, but especially during the fertility years and baby’s First One Thousand Days.
You may feel at times isolated and ill equipped to handle the pressures of being a mom, but I want you to know you are not alone…
I too was newly pregnant looking at the double pink line thinking “now what?”
I was sick and nauseous most of my pregnancies and didn’t know what to eat or not to eat.
I struggled to get my first born to latch properly, I had no idea what I was doing!
My children (I have three) were all very “picky eaters” from the very beginning! I never knew what to feed them.
The list can go on and on…
If any of this has resonated with you then we need to talk! Let me help you navigate these confusing, incredibly beautiful life stages and together we will use evidence-based research to help you feel your best and let go of the stress surrounding food and how to feed your growing family.
I want to be your “stress buster” when it comes to feeding yourself and your family. It is a tough, exhausting, and the most exhilarating job you will ever have in your lifetime.
Let the journey begin!
